DOST Builds Materials Testing Facility in Taguig

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) is setting up a P400-million advanced device and materials testing laboratory that would benefit the automotive makers, electronics, and export industries.

DOST director for planning and evaluation service Bernie Justimbaste said the sophisticated equipment built at DOST compound in Taguig City aims to provide electronic failure analysis at shorter turn-around time for companies.

With the establishment of such laboratory in the country, manufacturers need not send their new products to other countries like Hong Kong and Singapore for testing.
